1967 : The entire Grateful Dead are arrested for marijuana possession in San Francisco.

1995 : Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill reaches the top of the Billboard 200 in its 15th week giving the Maverick label, founded by Madonna, its first No. 1. She’s the third female artist to have a debut album reach No. 1 in the 1990s.

2002 : Return of the King: 25 years after his death, Elvis Presley has a #1 album in 17 countries – including the United States – when Elv1s 30 No. 1 Hits makes its debut.

2009 : A half-naked Kate Beckinsale graces the cover of Esquire Magazine as 2009’s Sexiest Woman Alive. A sexed-up video featuring the actress is released with Jet’s “Goodbye Hollywood” from 2009’s Shaka Rock providing the soundtrack.
