From the 45th anniversary “super deluxe” edition of the Velvet Underground’s 1969 self-titled album

On November 24, a 45th anniversary “super deluxe” edition of the Velvet Underground‘s 1969 self-titled album will be released. It included 65 tracks across six CDs with a case-bound book.

The fifth and sixth discs include previously unreleased mixes of a performance at San Francisco club the Matrix on November 26 and 27, 1969. Along with a 37-minute version of “Sister Ray”, the set includes this version of the VU classic “I’m Waiting for the Man”, off The Velvet Underground & Nico. Listen below via Stereogum.
