Madonna enrolled pals including Chris Rock, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Kanye West, Diplo, Nicki Minaj, and fashion designer Alexander Wang for some quick cameos.
On the season finale of Fox’s Empire, We could hear the new single from Charles Hamilton with Rita Ora, “New York Raining.” Today, we have the video.
“With the recent increase in reports of police brutality,” Hamilton tells Billboard, “I feel strongly about vividly depicting the struggle we as African Americans historically had to go through to reach equality, an equality that is eroding in modern times.”
Featured on this new version is Band Aid veteran Bono along with Robert Plant, Marcus Mumford, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Chris Martin, Roger Taylor, Karl Hyde, Rita Ora, Jessie Ware, Sinead O’Connor, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, and members of Elbow and Bastille.
The stars came together in London on Saturday to record the charity single. Geldof started Band Aid in 1984 to aid in the fight against famine in Ethiopia. This latest single marks the fourth time “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” has been recorded and the first since 2004.
Last night (October 25th), Iggy Azalea was Saturday Night Live’s musical guest. She performed her new song “Beg for it” and teamed up with Rita Ora for “Black Widow.” Watch below.
In the Director X-directed video, Iggy and Rita seek revenge on an ex-boyfriend. Iggy is a diner girl serving Rita and her rude date (played by Reservoir Dogs‘ Michael Madsen). His BLT didn’t live up to his very high BLT standards, so he explodes. This leaves Iggy to day-dream about an alternate life of kicking major ass. Watch the mini-movie below.
