Jack White’s post-Lazaretto victory lap has included a whole lot of covers. As Consequence of Sound point out, right around the same time Arcade Fire was launching into the strains of “Hot Hot Hot,” the Third Man boss offered up the latest public evidence of his longtime friendship with Beck by playing a fragment of Odelay‘s “Devil’s Haircut” during his performance of “Sixteen Saltines” in San Francisco.
Just last month, White turned up at one of the Guero singer’s pre-Newport Folk Festival shows in Providence, Rhode Island for guest spots on “Loser” and “Where It’s At,” but the two alt-rock superstars have been nursing a bromance at least since the ex-White Stripe played bass on “Go It Alone” in 2005. Third Man Records issued a Beck single back 2012 and White also recently appeared on Beck’s Song Reader album. Watch fan-shot video of the cover above at around the 11-minute mark.
